Leo XIII Dream

2011, The Substation Basement, as part of Re: Almost Left Behind at the Singapore Arts Festival 2011
created by Xi Jie, directed by Tan Liting and Thong Peiqin

Crawl through wormholes to a quiet dream dungeon and wake up, kill yourself, be someone else, reimagine galaxies, write down a secret, escape to outer space and lie under the blanket of the universe. The cosmos wait for you.

A continuous 2.5 hour site-specific installation-performance. Visitors were only allowed five at a time, had to leave their earthly belongings behind and were requested to be silent in this meditative space. They played with the Clown and left their marks in outer space. Many planted tombs in the cosmic cemetery. Some received worded messages from the cosmos through the Clown. A few lay in the far end of the universe and looked around.
