Oct 2019 - May 2020

I was artist in residence at UMass Dartmouth's College of Visual & Performing Arts for the academic year of 2019-20. With two months to go and my projects culminating, the coronavirus pandemic hit. I left the US for Singapore, where I finished out my time as AiR, living between multiple time zones while adapting my projects.

In Oct 2019, I started with Elevator Lady - a way to interface with the art department as a newcomer. I sat in the elevators of the CVPA Star Store campus in downtown New Bedford to meet people. I asked students/faculty about the institution of art, played whale sounds and the Moby-Dick audiobook (Moby-Dick begins in New Bedford), stretched, and received plant gifts.
