KSMoCA Brave Rose Midwifery Department

I met up with a third grader from King School once a week for a few months. She told me she was present at the birth of her little sister, and that she wants to be a midwife when she grows up. Her friends sometimes make fun of her for that. We created a midwifery department in KSMoCA. The department exists simply because we claim it. We produced a namecard that we gave out at a KSMoCA art opening where she wore a midwife dress we made. She also gave the cards out at the birth of her next sister. The namecard is in both English and Mandarin - she is in the Mandarin immersion program, and we tried to learn new Mandarin words along the way.
